Hello All,

I think I know the answer but I am going to ask anyway.
When you update an agent, there is a column called "Revision" which increments by 1 each time. I want to add this data to my Column Set Configuration but I cannot find it in the Inventory. I would think if LANDesk are keeping track of the revision number, we should be able to use it.

Hi Guys,
I installed new 9.5 core server and now im trying to migrate clients from old 9.0 core server to it.
Im redeploying agents from new core server to all devices. So far everything worked like charm.
Now I found a device that I sucessfully deployed agent to but that device do not apear in all devices list.
Im able to connect to it using remote control.
I was also able to run manual security and inventory scan from the device. I saw that this device was communicating with right core during this scan but It didnt apear in the list.
(no error on client during scan)
I tired to completely remove - reinstall the agent but behaviour of this device is still the same.
Core server and the device are on the same network. All firewalls are dissabled.
Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem ?
Thanks
I have an issue where the core is seeing Devices using their old IP Address and will not update, making any control of the device pointless.
I can PING from the core to the device and visa-versa.
Inventory scans work on the device.
I have followed this article by francesco.baldini to no avail - The IP address of the managed device isn't updated - the IP address of the wrong network connection is reported
We are trying to troubleshoot why several of our computers with "SNBC BTP-2002NP" thermal receipt printers randomly print out PJL commands. The printers are connected to POS computers that connect to a terminal server. The printer is not installed it is just connected to the com 2 port. The POS software runs from the terminal server and prints to the com 2 port. When this happens it causes the application to freeze up on the RD Web Windows Terminal Server for the individuals session. Does anyone know how LANDesk polls for printers to add them to inventory? Would LANDesk send the following commands to the com port during inventory to determine information?
12345X@PJL
@PJL INFO ID
@PJL INQUIRE SERIALNUMBER
@PJL INFO PAGECOUNT
@PJL INQUIRE RESOLUTION
@PJL INFO STATUS
@PJL INFO SUPPLIES
@PJL INFO PRODINFO
@PJL INFO VARIABLES
I'm making a query to see what computers have a specific software installed to help with deployment verification. And another to see which ones do not so we can schedule a deployment. But I'm not quite sure what the difference between some of the categories in Machine Component tree. I'm using Landesk Management Console 9.6.0 without the Inventory add-on.
In Computer -> Software, what's the difference between..
Add or Remove programs -> Program
Package Manager -> Package
Product
Where does the inventory scanner find this information?
Right now I've used the GUID field in the Product category. I've used "like" in the name fields in either Add or Remove programs -> Program or Product. They seem at first glance to be the same.
Thank you.
Hi,
All managed devices have a LANDesk agent with Enabled XDD via ARP and all subnets inside the company are displayed under "Self-electing subnet services" tool. When I check the list of unmanaged devices to get computers which were discovered by XDD via ARP I found only devices which belongs to 2 subnets. I found out that there is an XDD IP filtering applied by default by LANDesk core server and I want to adapt this settings to my network.
In the documentation they said that I have to add a DWORD registry key to the core server to disable this feature (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\XDD\Filter ) or create new DWORD Registry key to adjust the first and second octet monitoring ranges (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\XDD\FilterThreshold1 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\XDD\FilterThreshold2)
The problem that in LANDesk core server there is no registry entry named "XDD" following that path. Is that okay.
With this feature does the client send information to the core server but the core server ignore them (so they will not displayed under unmanaged devices discovery list) or this settings will be uploaded by all XDD-enabled devices this way they will not try to discover any device which not belong to the default ip range?
LDMS version is 2016.3 and I am in testing phase
This is what I found in XDDClient.log for the elected device in one subnet (please note that in another elected device for another subnet I have the same error messages in the XDD log but devices from that subnet are listed in UDD)

Just started to deploy Windows 10 in our test environment ready for deployment.
Seems to be going OK so far however I notice that in the Management Console the operating system is reported incorrectly.
We are using Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB 64bit edition but this is showing as Windows 10 LTSB 2015 64bit edition.
A small anomaly I know but if this is reported wrong what else could be?
We are using Management Suite version 10.1.0.168 (2016.3)
Anyone else seen this or is there an explanation why it is showing it incorrectly?
Trying to list all shares on our machines -
I have created the WMI Item under managed software list and its gathering the share name and path from Win32_Share
however its only populating the following share
Name - $ADMIN
Path c:\WIndows
So its def collecting the data and shows in my inventory but only the first share is being added its not collecting any other share info?
i think its something to do with the Key checkbox - we have data analytics too so any info an doing it with that as an alternative is welcome.
Thanks
I recently deleted a user PC (Windows 8.1)from All Devices and reimaged it with Windows 10 Build 1803 through Landesk and it named it same as the old name. I did this twice but the PC name is not getting picked up back to the All Devices for me to push applications. Then I have noticed that there was an entry under Pending Unmanaged Devices so I deleted that. I ran the inventory and vulnera scan from the client machine few times, shutdown and restart, install reinstall the client agent, also did a scan by IP from Management console and it picked up the existing name but no luck to get it to the All Devices. Is there the possibility that the old entry was still there somewhere?
I'll try renaming the PC with different name and see how I go.
Thanks in advance.
Version: Landesk Management Suite 2016 Ver. 10.1.0.168
I'm looking through the inventory of the windows 10 machine and I can't find any item that identifies the build number, is that not in the inventory scans? if not can it be added as a custom field?
I have a Window 10 client (1607) that has the patch for wannacrypt installed (KB4013429) along with a number of other patches. KB4013429 was installed 4/5/2017. However, inventory just shows 5 updates installed and KB4013429 is not one of them. I'm trying to scan for how many machines are patched. There are other machines that do report that patch installed.
I've tried running full sync scans from the console end, running inventory from the client end, re-installing the client, deleting the client from the console and again re-installing the client with the same results. Inventory\Name\OS\Updates\updates still only shows 5 installed updates.
Last Software Scan Date and Last Updated by Inventory Scanner all show today's date and the time is just after client installation
LD version is 9.60.2.48
Patch was originally installed through our WSUS server
Hello all,
When we first implemented we didn't make much use of the Alert system. I am attempting to set it up correctly so it can be used, but I am running into an issue.
We have cleared out all our old alerts so we could "start fresh" and will be pushing new alert settings to all machines. However, we still have a large amount of machines that are reporting their health is "Critical" despite there being no alerts for them, and their health not being actually critical.
For example, the machine at some point may have reported that it was low on HDD space, but it is no longer low on HDD space, but the inventory data for it still has a Health status set to "4,"
Is there a way to reset the health status of a machine manually? Or do I have to have our DBA update them all to Health Status of "2" to reset this. There are no alerts to "acknowledge" or anything for the device in order to clear the alert.
Thanks!
Is there a document explaining the command line switches for LDISCN32.exe? I can do a "/?" but it doesn't explain what "/O /T /Q" do.
Hi Guys
I've been tasked with exporting a list of all our installed software on all devices from the LANDesk SQL database. Does anyone know a SQL query that would help me get this info.
Ideally it would list the asset with all the software installed, possibly showing install date,software version and install date.
I've created a query like this in the console, would I be able to export it from SQL?
Thanks
Drew
I have created a query that selects a group of machines by model and by login user. Out of those machines I wold like to create a report to show the .Netframework installed. I have noticed that the majority of the devices have .NetFramework 2.0 but there are other ones that have different one. I have selected certain colums to show what I need but only .Netframework 2.0 show in the report because that is what I have chosen. What do I need to do to show version of .Netframework.
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
I have such messages for about 8 / 10 times for one day.
I know it is a notification about the fact that the Delta scan has not been received correctly.
Can i do something to force only on some of these computers (i know which one are concerned) always a full scan to be done every day and not a Delta.
Thanks a lot.
I just started running into a problem on our LANDesk 9.0 SP2 console (all current MCP patches)
The LANDsk Inventory Server service has crashed twice in the last 6 days and I am not able to restart the service without rebooting the LANDesk Console. I know the inventory server service used to crash frequently on our old 8.8 console but this is the first time that I've seen it crash on our 9.0 SP2 console and require the console to be rebooted.
Any suggestions on where I can look to troubleshoot this? Is the incoming scan causing it to crash or is it losing connection to the SQL server? Attached portions of ldiscn32.log and ldinv32.log

Greetings,
Is there a way to query NIC link speed using LANDesk agent?
We have just recently upgraded the physical network wiring in our environment. Some of the WinXP boxes were hard set to 10 Mbps half. I would like to find out if there is a way for me to identify these boxes and perhaps use a powershell script to change them to 1 Gbps full or Auto.
Thanks in advance!
Dear all,
I have an Static Device Group its called "Server Patch Exceptions" in this Group i insert manually Server from my Network to exclude it from a Patchmanagemant.
Now i have the Problem i have a Dynamic Scope Obejct with an Query this Query search all Server and Devices with Agentname "xy" and will be insert at my List.
How can i modify the Querie to say search all Devices based on Agentname "xy" included the Exclude the static Group.
To Example
Server 1 has Agent Name "xy"
Server 2 has Agent Name "xy"
Server 3 has Agent Name "xy" but its in the Static group "Server Patch Exceptions"
Scope Should be listet --> Server 1 and Server 2
The Backround is when i Create an Patch-Task i Instert the Scope in to the Target and all Device will be Patched but the Server in "Server Patch Exceptions" should be skipped
thank you all
Thomas
