Inventory Scan not using FQDN to resolve core server

I have configured an advance agent where the FQDN of the core server has been added to the "Standard LANDesk agent" configuration.

The advance agent deploys to the workstation fine and is able to call the executable download to install the full agent.

The problem seems to be when it trys to launch the inventory scan, it cannot resolve the core server's name. Of course if I add the Domain Suffix to the search list in the local network settings, then it works.

Why is the inventory scanner using the short name of the core server even though I have added the FQDN to the agent configuration?

Is there a configuration file on the core server itself that is used to deploy the inventory scanner configuration to the workstation that needs to be edited?
