Do I need to clean out the ErrorScan folder?

So... I've been noticing a lot of Event ID 2391 on my core, so I checked and I have almost 13K files in my ErrorScan folder.  Nearly 1.5gb.

This is what the errors are showing in the event log.

Description:
Inventory data for {F0898F5C-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX} (Update) is out of sync.  A full scan will be forced.

So do I have a larger problem at hand because of the size of the folder, or should I just delete the contents of this folder?

Any help would be great.
